EKG Technicians are responsible for monitoring patient’s cardiovascular activities. They are also known as electrocardiogram or cardiovascular technicians. These technicians attach the electrodes to the patient’s Body. These electrodes are attached on the arms, legs, and chest. Then they trace the electrical impulses of the heart with the help of machine. These professionals collect the data from electrocardiogram via printouts and provide these results to the physician for further analysis.
This data is usually collected from the patients with heart diseases. The EKG is also done when a patient suffers from chest pain, before and after surgery or if the physician feels the need for it.
